01

Pumps & Sprinkler Systems

Fire pump and automatic sprinkler systems form a critical part of NCC (BCA) compliant fire protection strategies. Within this scope, our technicians deliver installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance services to confirm systems perform as intended under design fire conditions across both Deemed-to-Satisfy and Performance Solution pathways.

  • Consideration is given to hydraulic demand, system redundancy, long-term reliability, and integration with existing site fire services infrastructure. By maintaining system availability and functional performance, our team supports statutory compliance and the operational expectations of building owners and approving authorities.

Works are carried out in accordance with:

    • AS 2118 (Automatic Fire Sprinkler Systems)

    • AS 2419 (Fire Hydrant Installations)

    • AS 1851 (Routine Service of Fire Protection Systems)

    • Applicable NCC (BCA) Volumes and Performance Requirements

02

Deluge & Special Hazard Systems

Where conventional sprinkler protection is not suitable, Protex Fire delivers specialist installation and maintenance of deluge, water spray, and special hazard fire suppression systems. These systems are designed to protect high-risk, asset-critical, and process-driven environments across industrial, infrastructure, and specialised applications.

  • System delivery involves hazard-specific configuration, functional integration with detection and control systems, and scheduled servicing to preserve effectiveness over time. Where NCC Performance Solutions are adopted, works are supported by project-specific engineering documentation and manufacturer criteria.

Works are undertaken in accordance with:

    • AS 1851

    • Relevant Australian Standards applicable to the system type

    • Manufacturer design, installation, and maintenance requirements

    • NCC Performance Requirements relating to fire suppression and fire spread control

03

Fire Water Tanks

To support compliant firefighting water supply and system resilience, we provide inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire water storage tanks in line with NCC requirements. Services are undertaken to verify effective storage capacity, structural integrity, and functional performance throughout the asset lifecycle. The scope of works includes assessment of structural condition and tank integrity, linings, coatings, corrosion protection, inlet and outlet arrangements, valves, strainers, overflows, level indicators, and interfaces with fire pump systems and associated controls.

  • Maintenance activities are planned to minimize disruption to fire protection systems, including controlled isolation, coordination with pump systems, and compliant reinstatement.

Works are undertaken in accordance with:

    • AS 1851

    • Relevant Australian Standards

    • NCC requirements for firefighting water supply and system reliability
